Q is for Quannum - I Changed My Mind

I think I stopped doing these like a petulant child, because I missed out Q and I was annoyed with myself. I mean for fuck sake it's the alphabet, how could I possibly have got that wrong? Or maybe people thought I just couldn't think of a Q, how embarrassing! 

Anyhow, enough of my stupidity and vanity. Today's tune is an absolute corker! Quannum Projects (aka Quannum MCs) are a hip hop collective based in the San Francisco Bay Area. They have been active since 1992, when they were formed at UC Davis under the moniker Solesides Records. It is also the name of the independent record label that releases their records, as well as those of a number of other artists. The label continues to be 100% independently owned and operated.  

The roster features an impressive array of artists, the likes of DJ Shadow, Blackalicious and Latryx to name a few. This track features the combined talents of the silver tongued Lyrics Born and The Poets of Rhythm. Its unceasing bass pulse serves as the back drop to the virulent yet soothing tones of the former in what I believe to be his strongest work.

This one is for anyone who has experienced a wake up call in a failing relationship. It evokes strong memories for me
